The Tower of London is over 500 years old and was the place in times gone by were the ruling monarch would send their enemies. The historic building can tell many a tale from London's long and bloody history. You should allow at least half a day to visit the tower  and if at all possible try not to miss a free guided tour by the beefeaters. 

The world's largest diamond is on display at the towers Jewel House. Other parts of the tower you must not miss are the White Tower, Chapel of St John and Traitors Gate.
